CONOR'S GREAT GOLF BRINGS THE AJS ENERGY SPONSORED COASTAL TOUR YEAR TO A FITTING END

Frinton Junior Conor Forecast saved his best form to win the last event, bringing a close to another successful Coastal Tour. During the presentation following the golf, Jacob Lazaro received his Trophy for winning the Coastal Tour Order of Merit title for 2017. The winner of the Jan Eves girls Order of Merit trophy was Jan's granddaughter Daisy Eves.

2 TOUR EVENTS IN QUICK SUCCESSION, JACOB NOW CLEAR ORDER OF MERIT LEADER

After rounds 4 and 5 of the Coastal Tour Jacob Lazaro has a unassailable lead in the Order of merit and will be crowned the champion of the year at the final event at Frinton in October. The girls order of merit is still to be decided with Daisy Eves currently leading to win the Jan Eves trophy.

VISITORS PUT UP A STRONG SHOW AT THE FRINTON JUNIOR OPEN CTour2017

Frinton recently hosted the latest AJS Energy Sponsored Coastal Tour event, which was a Junior Open where juniors from other clubs were able to compete with our regular Coastal Tour Juniors.t.

There were some unbelievably good scores on the day with Colchester's Oliver Baker taking the main prize with a brilliant Nett 62. He beat Clacton's Jacob Lazaro on countback who also returned a score of Nett 62. Jacob is now the clear leader of this year's Coastal Tour Order of Merit.

JUNIORS ENJOY THE FIRST COASTAL GOLF ACADEMY JUNIOR OPEN CTour2017

50 juniors from across East Anglia and even a visitor from Dubai took part in our first Junior Open at Colne Valley which is part of this years AJS Energy sponsored Coastal Tour.

JUNIORS PLAYING TEXAS SCRAMBLE AND A HOLE IN ONE ALL PART OF THE FUN AT MILLERS BARN CTour2017

Jamie Sach from Frinton produced a hole in one at the 8th hole at Millers Barn to cap off an excellent day at Millers Barn for the latest Coastal Tour event.

DIFFERENT FORMATS PROVING POPULAR FOR THIS YEAR'S TOUR CTour2017

Colne Valley hosted our latest AJS Energy sponsored Coastal Tour event, which saw the juniors playing foursomes for the first time.

Foursomes is a pairs game with juniors taking alternate shots on each hole. It was a draw, with many of the juniors having not played the format before.

Home advantage proved significant with Abigail March and Ethan Wade returning the best stableford score of 37 points.

COASTAL TOUR SEASON KICKS OFF WITH A NEW LOOK CTour2017

Frinton hosted the 1st event of the new AJS Energy sponsored Coastal Tour with some big changes made to the Tour for 2017. This year the Tour has changed to 5 pairs events, 1 Texas scramble event and 2 Juniors Opens. The Opens will welcome juniors from other clubs around Essex.

The Tour has shifted away from just individual events and more towards pairs and team formats to ensure juniors have the chance to play different competition formats..

COLNE VALLEY HOST THE FINALE OF THE COASTAL TOUR CTour2016

Colne Valley recently hosted the final event to bring a close to this year's Coastal Tour. The event was followed by a meal and prize presentation for the Order of Merit winners.

During the 18 hole competition on the day, junior guest to the Tour Connor Garvey won with an impressive 40 points followed in the lower handicap category by Will Gee and Thomas Mead. The lower handicap category was won by Bradley Cattermole, with Daisy Eves and Sam Bell also featuring in the prizes. Finally Frinton's Jake Wells took the best gross score of the day.

STRONG SHOWING FROM THE GIRLS AT THE LATEST COASTAL TOUR EVENT AT HARWICH CTour2016

The girls featured heavily in the prizes during the 8th Coastal Tour event, with Charley Hatley returning the best score of the day with 40 points, Abbie Henshall winning the 21-36 handicap catergory and finally Abigail March playing in only her second 18 hole event, collected the 3rd 21-36 handicap prize.

There is now a tie in the girls order of merit with Charley and Lucy Henshall locked on 165 each promising for an exciting final event to see who is awarded the Jane Eves Trophy.

Daniel Wallace, still recovering from a broken leg, returned another good score of 40 points, closely followed by Order of Merit leader Micah Blowers with 38 points to win the latest Tour event at Colne Valley.

TOUGH TEST IN BLUSTERY CONDITIONS FOR THE LATEST COASTAL TOUR AT FRINTON CTour2016

Just under 50 juniors took part in the latest Coastal Tour event with juniors of all ages and abilities playing in different events on both courses at Frinton.

There was the 18 hole main tour event, a 10 hole competition on the Havers course and to complete the day a 9 hole interclub match on the Kirby course.

SUPERB SCORING IN GLORIOUS SUNSHINE DURING THE 3RD ROUND OF THE COASTAL TOUR CTour2016

A number of different juniors featured in the prizes in the latest Coastal Tour at Frinton Golf Club.

The main 18 hole event was run alongside the Coastal Cubs competition on the Kirby course and a 3rd competition on the back 9 of the Havers course. Over 60 juniors competed during the day with a lovely atmosphere created but lots of families enjoying the summer like conditions at the club.

COASTAL TOUR MOVES ONTO COLNE VALLEY WITH HOME PLAYERS TAKING THE HONOURS CTour2016

The 2nd round of the Coastal Tour survived the deluge of rain we had earlier in the week and the juniors were blessed with sunshine all day to enjoy their round. .

The day had 3 competitions running with a number of juniors playing in the 9 hole competition from the red tees, another group playing from the blue tees and finally the main Tour event over played over 18 holes. More than 40 juniors competed during the day which again shows the strength and depth of the juniors involved with Coastal Golf Academy

OVER 50 JUNIORS BRAVE THE WEATHER FOR THE OPENING COASTAL TOUR EVENT AT FRINTON CTour2016

The opening event of the Coastal Tour was staged on a freezing day at Frinton Golf Club. 23 Juniors played the Havers course and 31 played on the Kirby course in the Cubs Team event.

Each of our venue clubs, Frinton, Harwich, Millers Barn and Colne Valley had teams playing with Colne Valley coming out Team winners with Jake Hesketh from the victorious team returning the best 9 hole score of 43.
