The Golf Academy combines college-based learning at either Sigma Sixth Colchester or Sigma Sixth Tendring with dedicated daily coaching sessions from PGA-qualified Coastal Golf Academy professionals at either Frinton Golf Club and Colne Valley Golf Club.

Students work towards their Level 3 BTEC National Certificate in Sport or choose 3 A Levels, while improving their game and honing their techniques. The course provides an excellent platform to becoming a professional golfer and for higher-education courses in sports subjects.

Many students also choose to complete their PGA Level 1 Certificate in Teaching Golf during the course, providing the opportunity to supplement their education with paid work as a coach.
