COLNE GOLF ACADEMY UPDATE
Colne Academy student Mark Smith has started the competition season flying by reducing his handicap from 6.1 at the start of the year to 3.9.
Also Life Coach Pete Cohen has joined the Colne Golf Academy teaching staff..
The Colne Golf Academy is a 2 year programme run for school leavers who want to obtain a quality academic qualification whilst trying to become an elite golfer. All the students are working hard at their games, with Mark Smith achieving the biggest fall in handicap so far this year. He is also leading the Frinton Junior club championship after 2 rounds with 1 more round to play.
Pete Cohen has joined the Colne Academy staff to provide quality mental and physical training to the students. Pete has worked at the Sussex Golf Academy with Dennis Pugh for 6 years and his experience in developing talented youngsters will hopefully prove significant. The academy is going from strength to strength with 7 new students joining the programme in September.
