TRI-GOLF IN SCHOOLS UPDATE

Over the last 6 weeks 4 classes from Alton Park primary School have been working through the Tri-Golf level of the Golf Foundation passport.

More than 90 pupils in year 4 have been learning new skills including Pitching, Chipping & Putting. These new skills were then put into practice on the last week when a mini golf course was set up on the playing field. Thanks go to all of the teacher that supported the lessons.

On Tuesday morning before Easter St Joseph's & All Saints Primary School went head to head in a Tri-Golf festival at Harwich Sports Centre. 32 pupils from each school took part in 6 different skills challenges with points being award dependant on their performance during the challenges. Congratulations goes to St Joseph's Primary School who won the team competition, the individual winners were Daryl from St Joseph's and Jasmine from All Saints who were the best Boy & Girls of the festivals. Thanks should go to Rob Anderson competition manager for the Tendring schools partnership, Chris Jarrett for the use of the sports hall and her volunteer helpers, Sue Keen & Marie Kelly for organising the pupils.
