Passport Opens go from Strength to Strength

The Passport Open on Sunday saw the most successful event yet with 24 juniors competing. The Opens give juniors the chance show of their skills they have learnt during the passport coaching lessons.

There were three different length courses the juniors played dependent on the ability. 12 Juniors played the full 9 holes on the Kirby Course, 10 played a shortened 9 holes and 2 of the youngest young girl played 5 shortened holes.

All the juniors enjoyed hot chocolate afterwards in the clubhouse where the presentation was held. Steven Vaughan From Frinton Golf Club returned the winning score for the full 9 hole competition followed closely by Ryan Forecast also from Frinton Golf Club.

Lewis Watson from Millers Barn came runner up on the shortened 9 holes course with Luca Kennedy from Frinton taking top spot.

In the 12 hole putting competition a brilliant score of 25 by Tom Cosby from Frinton was the best of the day with Daniel Jackson from Millers Barn and Cameron Rendell from Clacton Golf Club sharing 1st place in the 6 hole putting competition.
