TTC SCHOOL WIN THE SUMMER SECONDARY SCHOOL CUP

Tendring Technology College students came out team winners at Frinton Golf club in the Summer Secondary school cup competition. Colne Golf Academy also claimed victory over Colchester sixth form college in their match staged on the same day.

The secondary school cup is a competition played each term between the six secondary schools in the Tendring district. During each term, all 6 schools selects a squad of students to take part in four weeks of their own separate coaching from which a team of 4 is picked.

The Final cup competition of the year was won by TTC with Josh Martin, Andrew Hutley, Thomas Rowson and Jordan Rowe all returning good scores to take the trophy.

A match between Colne Golf Academy and Colchester 6th Form was also played alongside the Secondary School cup at Frinton. Colne Golf Academy won the match and so remain unbeaten this year. All the students that played in both events were also competing for individual honours.

Jordan Slater who is a new student to the Colne Academy shot a brilliant 68 gross to win the individual event. Jordan is a very promising golfer with his handicap recently being reduced to 1.6 and will be a great addition to the academy.

All the students will soon be off on their summer holiday break but will be back to the schools competitions when they return in September.
