PASSPORT OPENS PROVE A SUCCESS

Junior Golfers over the past couple of weekends have been showing off their skills in the first ever CGA Passport Opens.

The Opens not only provide the juniors with a chance to put into practice what they have learned during the passport classes, but also start to learn about the basic rules and etiquette of the game. It was really great to see all of the juniors from across the CGA venues playing in the same competition and making friends with each other. The competition was split into three categories to make the competitions enjoyable for all levels of ability. The nine hole competitions were played from just short of the full length courses at Frinton and Millers, with the younger and less experienced juniors playing from a shortened five hole course. The juniors who played in the 5 hole competitions, also took part in a putting and chipping competition. Finally, thanks must go to all of the parents who marked cards for the juniors during the competitions. If you would like to find out when the next passport opens are please click here
