A major factor leading to the launch of Coastal Golf Academy has been the success that the founding Professionals have had with junior coaching over the past few years. There are extensive junior programmes available at all venues, with the Golf Foundation Passport system being the most popular programme available. Girls Golf Rocks

In 2017 CGA have become recognised Girls Golf Rocks venues. This replaces our Coastal Birdies project which proved very successful and a large part of the reason why we have become part of an exciting national scheme to get more girls playing golf. Girls Golf Rocks sessions are run weekly at each venue open to all girls aged 5 12. Girls that have been to Birdies lessons before are more than welcome as well as new girls that would like to give golf a try in a fun and friendly environment. During the sessions girls will be given the chance to learn the skills needed to start playing golf whilst making new friends and enjoying being active. The sessions are run during school term time with fun events run during school holidays for girls to show off their new golf skills and meet girls from other participating venues.

Cubs Team Events

Cubs is the youngest membership category each of our venue clubs offer. Most Cub members are in coaching programs with CGA and the Team events give the juniors the opportunity to get out on the course to enjoy playing and practicing their skills learnt during coaching. The Events are run normally with teams of up to 6 juniors playing for each of the venue clubs. Fun and enjoyment are a priority but juniors have shown us that they love being part of a team and always try hard for their team. Playing events also start to teach juniors important social and life skills including sportsmanship and honesty.
