A major factor leading to the launch of Coastal Golf Academy has been the success that the founding Professionals have had with junior coaching over the past few years. There are extensive junior programmes available at all venues, with the Golf Foundation Passport system being the most popular programme available. Coastal Golf Academy professionals strive to ensure that all juniors are given the best chance to develop the key fundamentals.
Individual lessons play a key role in the development of a junior golfer and they complement the group coaching. There are many benefits, including helping to underpin the coaching that is done in the group lessons, accelerate the learning process and give the serious juniors greater opportunity to reach their potential. Lessons can be given at any of the venues at a convenient time to the junior and the professional. To view the prices of individual lessons please click here.

New for 2011, these days are designed for the serious junior golfer with a handicap looking to improve their skills. The days are run through the school holidays, starting at 10am and finishing at 3pm. Lunch is provided at the club with refreshments throughout the day. The main features of the days include the use of the GASP HS video system, short game clinics, golf specific fitness and the EGU skill challenges as used during the County Academy Programme days. Each junior will leave with a record of what they have achieved during the day and a plan of what to work on to improve. During 2011 Frinton is going to host all of the days, but juniors from any of the CGA venues are able to attend and hopefully the days will be expanded to other venues in due course.
