The Colne Golf Academy was launched with Colne Community College in September 2009. The Academy is open to school leavers who show the potential to become elite golfers and who are able combine studies as part of the programme.
The academy provides quality education and golf coaching to realize players' true potential. Students study the BTEC national certificate in sport, equivalent to two or three A levels of their choice. In addition students are offered the chance to take their level 1 golf coaching certificate.
The college day will consist of 2-3 hours of golf coaching which helps develops all aspects of the student's game. The aim is not only to give quality coaching but to give an understanding of the career opportunities within the golf industry.
